New Music Lyrics
Red and Gold
Red and gold shining stones cut down deep in the soil
Red and gold behind my lover’s eyes
Red and gold ribbons wove
They’re winding right through the mountain
Red and gold, come back to me
Red and gold flames and smoke burning out in the valley Red and gold all through my dreams
Red and gold when the storm lets go
Don’t burn out without me
Red and gold,...

Bottom of the Hill
Thanks to everyone who came out! We all had a blast, and thanks to Ari for sitting in on the keys. We were digging The Moonlight Orchestra’s melodies and Blisses B’s tasty mando. And Barry Z, if you wanted to be on the guest list, all you had to do was ask.
Thank you SO much to everyone who came out, danced, played tambourine and percussion and generally rocked out with us at Bottom of the Hill on Saturday! It was one of the most fun shows we’ve ever played, so thank you all! We’re hard at work on the record, and can’t wait to unveil it to everyone. We’re taking a little more time for this one, but we promise it will be worth the wait. Lots ‘o love!
Raccoons stole our bacon. We all emerged from the redwoods unscathed (despite the never-recommended combination of whiskey, champagne, beer, axes and precarious stumps sticking up out of the earth and trying to trip us at every opportunity. Tracey almost froze to death in a tent in the rain but not to fear- we still have a singer. See you all on January 8th at Bottom of the Hill!

Happy New Year everyone! We’re about to go off the grid for some NYE camping amongst the redwoods. We’ve got our trusty van packed up, friends and guitars in tow, and lots and lots o’ booze (oh, and bacon). Thanks for an amazing 2010 - we couldn’t have had such a fantastic year without all of you, and we’re SO thankful for your support. We’ll see you all in 2011!

Another busy-bee weekend for Vandella: playing tomorrow night at the lovely Hotel Utah back home in SF, fresh off our tour and looking for some familiar faces. Sharing the stage with The Shants (also back from tour!), Not An Airplane, and Coyote Girl. Sunday night we’ll be visiting Santa Cruz again, playing at The Crepe Place.
Also just confirmed: we’ll be heading on out to Vegas in...
Wow! Last night’s show at Fitzgerald’s in Huntington Beach sure was a lot of fun. All we’re gonna say is, there was a conga line going by the end of our set and as much fun as we were having up on that stage, that conga line was going off. We made a lot of new friends and had a blast. Playing a mellow set tonight in L.A. at Genghis Cohen. Hope to see some L.A. friends there.
Getting ready to hit the road to Santa Cruz. Playing tonight at Moe’s Alley with the Stone Foxes, and Elliott Randall and the Deadmen. Camping tomorrow night outside of L.A.
Check out this interview we did for Bay Area native. While you’re at it, check out the rest of the site. They’ve got a snazzy new layout and Carlos is awesome.

Our friends from Basecamp (www.basecampmusic.com) added us on to this compilation they put out, called “The Winter Drives”. It features some awesome local SF folk bands, and basically, you should give it a quick listen to complement the lovely SF perpetual-fall/winter-ness.
